As designers, we are creating the future world and I believe we should take this responsibility seriously. As a student growing up in an environmental crisis I fully believe in a sustainable future where we mainly reuse material to create long-lasting architecture. It is precisely the layers of history that make our world richer.
My inspiration in life comes from the existing, that what is already there, I strive to adopt history and use it as a basis to write a new chapter. My interest lies in future-proof and transformative design. I have a unique way of thinking and an affinity for graphic design, my bright and positive ideas result in conceptual works. With design, I dream to make the world a more durable and beautiful place.
From 2014 to 2018 I studied Spatial Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Because of my background at the art academy, I have developed a free way of thinking. In my architectural work, you see a broader interest in design, graphic, audiovisual and product design. Besides my studies, I have also been involved in various disciplines as a freelancer.
During the minor Heritage & Design at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft, I found a great interest in architecture and repurposing. This resulted in my graduation project, which was a repurposing of the dome prison in Haarlem.
After graduating, in 2019, I started the premaster course in Architecture at TU Delft and then completed the first year of the Master of Architecture. I think my study background makes me unique, as I have learned to develop thorough concepts and designs as well as a more scientific and analytical approach to design.
