A project I have been thinking about for years was making my own wardrobe. My taste for cupboards is very specific, I am very fond of dresser-like furniture where you can use the cupboard as a proper object in the room, a piece of furniture that is a part of the interior.
Most standardized closets are vertically oriented and you can not use the top of the wardrobe. Standardized shelves are very wide, but not wide enough to place two stacks of clothes next to each other. I tailored this cupboard for my personal needs, with 30 cm wide shelves that fit one stack of clothes perfectly. The closet is horizontal focussed and the top is used for decoration purposes.
The colour and the clean volume makes for a real eye-catcher in the room.
